Alkaline Lysis System

The Alker system performs controlled extraction of plasmid DNA (pDNA) from E. Coli following a continuous alkaline lysis manufacturing process. The reactant ratios are monitored and controlled in real-time by a feedback control algorithm, adding to the robustness provided by theoretical calculations. Lysis time is controlled automatically by adjusting pump speeds based on feedback from the digital scales. The system provides advanced process analytics and precise process parameter controls, making it perfectly suited for pDNA/mRNA process development and characterization activities. The system is suitable for manufacturing processes in either the 0.1L ~ 30L or 20L ~ 200L scales, and a 21CFR11 compliant software package is available as an add-on for GMP settings.
